Professional background

I am a Property Litigation Solicitor with broad experience acting across the commercial and residential property sector, with a particular focus on secured lending, recoveries and enforcement. A significant part of my practice involves acting for lenders and fixed charge receivers in connection with the recovery of unpaid secured loans, and I regularly provide strategic advice to maximise recovery on £multi‑million facilities. I am an Associate member of the NARA (the Association of Property & Fixed Charge Receivers), reflecting my focus and experience in this area.

Alongside my secured lending practice, I have extensive experience in general property litigation. I act for landlord clients, including a global real estate investment company with a circa £1 billion mixed‑use property portfolio, advising on all aspects of portfolio management. This includes dilapidations claims, business lease renewals, forfeiture, the operation and enforceability of break clauses, recovery of rent and service charge arrears, and issues arising from tenant insolvency.

I also regularly assist landlords with the disposal of residential and mixed‑use property, including advising on compliance with the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987.

I have also acted on a number of high‑profile cases involving pre‑emptive injunctive relief, including Vastint UK B.V. v Persons Unknown [2016] 12 WLUK 354 and INEOS v Persons Unknown [2017] EWHC 29, advising on strategy and enforcement in the context of threatened unlawful occupation.
