I have over 12 years' experience in assisting and running high-value litigation, having achieved successful outcomes in a number of high-profile property cases in the UK. I have extensive experience in the field of pre-emptive injunctive relief litigation, having acted for a number of multinational companies particularly in the energy and commercial real estate sectors over the last 7 years.

My practice further includes advising on development-related matters including site assembly, easement and possession issues, compensation and overage disputes. I also act for various institutional investors in relation to their large portfolio of investment properties throughout the UK advising on issues relating to dilapidations, business lease renewals, break clauses, the recovery of arrears, tenant insolvency as well as real property issues including easements and covenants.

I provide ongoing strategic support on complex property transactions, with a view to avoiding and pre-empting disputes, and mitigating risk. I also have considerable experience of dealing with substantial professional negligence disputes, having been instructed on a significant number of high-profile cases on behalf of investors and developers.

Since the Building Safety Act 2022 came into force I have advised clients in relation to issues arising under the Act including in respect of service charge recovery and remediation contribution orders.

My experience includes:

  • acting for Ineos Upstream Limited and a number of other energy clients in obtaining pre-emptive injunctions to protect land interests, supply chains and other commercial interests, in both the High Court and Court of Appeal;
  • acting for United Kingdom Oil Pipelines Limited (UKOP) acting by its agent British Pipeline Agency Limited in obtaining a pre-emptive injunction to protect land interests against activities of Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion and securing a renewal of that injunction upon annual review
  • acting for a landowner and developer of a high profile urban regeneration scheme to obtain an injunction restraining 'Persons Unknown' from remaining or entering upon parts of the development site for the duration of the development works;
  • acting for a property developer in multi-million High Court proceedings relating to a London development site;
  • acting for an energy operator in a quadripartite property dispute, giving rise to claims in trespass on private land, negligence and breach of contract;
  • acting for an energy client in respect of an application for the grant of ancillary rights under the Mines (Working Facilities and Support) Act 1966;
  • acting in high court proceedings relating to a high profile property ownership dispute involving issues relating to enfranchisement, trusteeship and intention;
