My practice is focused on advising clients on regulatory, product and environmental law at EU, national and international levels (incl. Ecodesign, WEEE, RoHS, REACH, biocides, medical devices, food regulation, medicinal products). That includes existing as well as upcoming EU regulation. Recent experience also includes litigation procedures before the European Courts in Luxemburg and litigation procedures in the Netherlands and Belgium. In addition, I am actively involved in Consortia work related to the Biocidal Products Regulation, and provided legal support, including data sharing negotiations with third parties.
Prior to becoming a lawyer at the Brussels bar, I built up extensive expertise in preparation and negotiation of a broad variety of policy and legislation at different levels of government. In addition, I led the team responsible for the successful notification to the European Commission of the Flemish Green Certificates and CHP scheme (2018) and the GVA-cap (2019). I was furthermore involved in the adoption of the new European regulatory framework in the context of the EU's Clean Energy Package and of the EU's Emissions Trading System and was part of several Belgian delegations.
