I am an associate working in the EU regulatory, trade and competition team as well as the energy & utilities team. I am a versatile lawyer, with a core practice focusing on environmental law as well as on energy law related matters.
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I worked as a stagiaire at the European Court of Justice (2017) and in the Belgian political arena as an advisor for Energy and Climate as well as European and International affairs to several Flemish ministers.
I have extensive expertise in the development of a broad variety of policy and legislation at different levels, such as the regulatory framework enabling the digitalisation of the energy sector, green electricity and energy-efficiency support measures (including their successful notifications to the European Commission), Belgian energy and climate strategies, and the EU’s Clean Energy Package and Emissions Trading System.
I am a law and political science graduate of the University of Leuven, with exchanges to the University of Edinburgh and University of Sydney.
I speak Dutch (native), English and French.
