My main areas of practice
I advise on all areas of German and European Antitrust Law. My experience in this area includes

  • the conduct of German, European and international merger control proceedings;
  • the general antitrust support of transactions;
  • the defence of companies in cartel fine proceedings and the preparation of leniency applications;
  • the defence against antitrust damages claims and the assertion of antitrust damages in court;
  • the assessment of behaviour in accordance with the prohibition of abuse under Antitrust Law;
  • the structuring of distribution systems under Antitrust Law (including in the area of agricultural Antitrust Law);
  • the development of online platforms; and
  • the design of compliance systems that comply with Antitrust Law.

In addition, I regularly advise on issues relating to investment audits by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) in accordance with the AWG/AWV. This includes advice on the transaction structure, the review of existing reporting obligations and the implementation of investment control reporting procedures at the BMWK.

I advise our clients in German and English.

My background
Antitrust law has accompanied me since my university education at the University of Osnabrück. I was able to deepen the knowledge I acquired there through an LL.M. at the University of Edinburgh, several years of academic work in Antitrust Law and the parallel completion of my doctorate on an interface topic in Antitrust Law.

Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I worked for three years as an Associate in a Corporate and Antitrust Law boutique.
