Two women from Fieldfisher were recognised for their outstanding achievements in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) at these inaugural awards hosted by the Global Legal Post.

Head of personal injury, Jill Greenfield, and Head of Just Purpose, Millie Hawes, accepted their awards at a gala reception and dinner at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London on 21 March.

Jill Greenfield won the Disputes Lawyer of the Year award. Jill is a very successful litigator and is passionate about women's rights and campaigns to improve women's access to justice. She has developed an outstanding reputation acting for victims in high-profile sexual assault cases, including against Harvey Weinstein and the late Jeffrey Epstein. She is one of 'the few people in commercial law taking on high profile sexual assault cases'.

Millie Hawes accepted the award for Disability Initiative of the Year award on behalf of the firm. Millie founded Fieldfisher's 'Discover' network in 2021 to bring attention to and address the challenges that disabled people face in the legal industry by focusing on four key pillars: education, support, policy change and outreach. Fieldfisher is one of the first law firms to introduce a disability leave policy, adding to its existing neurodiversity policy.

Around 400 finalists, awards’ judges and other representatives of the UK legal profession attended the ceremony, which was hosted by the prominent diversity campaigner Baroness Floella Benjamin.
