The multi-storey building complex was built in 1980 as the management academy of the Deutsche Bundespost and served as a conference hotel for Deutsche Telekom from the mid-1990s. Since 2018, after extensive modernisation, it houses the training academy of the financial administration of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
On an area of around 7,300 m², the building offers more than 100 guest rooms for participants of the training courses and events, around 15 conference and seminar rooms equipped with modern technology, a canteen and a gym.
Lahav has been active in the German real estate market since 2012 and has a steadily growing portfolio that currently consists of around 80 retail properties, among others. Lahav's focus is on high-yield local supply properties. The conference hotel in Bad Honnef now also expands the investment company's portfolio of German hotel properties. In Israel, Lahav L.R. Real Estate is a listed company that specialises in renewable energies and invests heavily in properties with photovoltaic systems and project developments in the green energy sector.
DRIA GmbH from Heinsberg, which represents Lahav L.R. Real Estate nationwide in Germany, was appointed as future asset manager for the property.
