European law firm Fieldfisher has advised UK-based IT service management company Helecloud and its selling shareholders on the sale of the entire issued share capital of Helecloud to Switzerland-headquartered market peer, SoftwareONE.
Founded in 2016, HeleCloud is a cloud-native Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Consulting Partner and the largest independent AWS-only System Integrator (SI), and Managed Service Provider (MSP) in EMEA.
The company serves its EMEA client base with strategic and technology consultancy, engineering and cloud operations from three locations across Europe: the UK, The Netherlands and Bulgaria
Its acquisition by SoftwareONE expands and strengthens SoftwareONE's AWS capabilities in the EMEA region.
SoftwareONE is a leading global provider of end-to-end software and cloud technology solutions that enables commercial, technology and digital transformations using IP and technology-driven services.
The acquisition will allow more customers to benefit from Helecloud's leading cloud-based solutions under the SofwareONE group brand.
Fieldfisher corporate partner Tom Ward, who led the Fieldfisher team advising Helecloud and its selling shareholders on the sale, commented: "Having previously advised Helecloud on its venture capital growth financings and acquisitions to date, it's been great to advise the company, its founders and investors on the exit to SoftwareONE. We wish them all the best as the business continues to grow under new ownership."
Dob Todorov, CEO and Co-founder of HeleCloud, said: "SoftwareONE gives HeleCloud the opportunity to operate at scale, a benefit for our customers. It is the ideal platform for enabling customers of all sizes worldwide to benefit from cloud by using HeleCloud's repeatable success patterns and accelerators for cloud adoption."
Javid Khan, AWS Global Director of SoftwareONE, said: "We are delighted to welcome HeleCloud to SoftwareONE. With HeleCloud joining us, we continue to expand SoftwareONE's capabilities to enable our customers in their journey to AWS, as well as their overall cloud and digital transformation."
Tom Ward was assisted on the deal by corporate associate Rachel Leigh and a wider cross-practice Fieldfisher team.
