Personal Injury team issues proceedings for alleged sexual assault against financier Crispin Odey

Claire Glasgow and Jill Greenfield have issued proceedings on behalf of two claimants against hedge fund manager Crispin Odey and Odey Asset Management for alleged sexual assaults.

Personal Injury and Medical Negligence Director Claire Glasgow and Partner Jill Greenfield have issued proceedings on behalf of two claimants against hedge fund manager Crispin Odey and his firm Odey Asset Management for alleged sexual assaults. OAM has a responsibility to keep its employees safe from harm. The claim is for personal injury damages for the alleged assault and the psychiatric harm suffered.

They have also sent a letter of claim on behalf of two further claimants to Crispin Odey and OAM and are in contact with a number of other potential victims/senior industry figures.

Because a tape recording of Mr Odey discussing the claims was widely reported in the press last week, Claire gave the comment to the Financial Times, which broke the original story, that 'As ever, our priority is to protect the anonymity of our clients'.

The case follows reports in the FT and Tortoise Media concerning allegations made by 20 women of improper behaviour. The case came to Jill and Claire on the back of their work in the Film and TV industry and specifically as a result of the team's reputation of taking on high profile individuals, many of whom cannot be named, but include Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein.

Jill previously represented victims of Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein in civil claims for sexual assault.
