Franchising in Iran: Update on Trump, the Iran Nuclear Deal and recent sanctions guidance

In a recent article by our Export Control and Sanctions Team, we consider the Iranian market in the wake of the election of Donald Trump as US President Elect, together with further recent sanctions guidance issued by the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

Whilst the world waits to see the policies that will actually be pursued by President Elect Trump, past rhetoric should not deter UK and foreign companies from continuing to seek out business opportunities in Iran.
