I have a broad understanding of the regulatory landscape and regulators; having worked for the Information Commissioner’s Office and at the General Medical Council as its senior lawyer on regulatory reform. I also currently sit on the Bar Standards Board’s Independent Decision-making Body.

I pride myself on delivering advice which is accessible, engaging and practical. I have a particular specialism in advising on large-scale change projects, supporting policy development and consultations. I provide advice to organisations which enables them to confidently pursue their strategic objectives and effectively influence key stakeholders. I enjoy delivering training and am a capable advocate.

I have experience working on legislative change, as well as drafting regulations and governance documents. I also undertake fitness to practise and disciplinary investigations.

I started my legal career at the Office of Defense Counsel in Mississippi, a firm specialising in death row cases. I then practised as a criminal and regulatory barrister, having graduated with an ‘Outstanding’ grade, receiving Lord Denning and Lord Buchanan scholarships from Lincoln’s Inn.
