I am also developing a growing regulatory practice, having been instructed by a publicly listed utility company to handle private prosecutions, and advising commercial lenders with respect to Financial Conduct Authority matters. During my period of training I was seconded with one of the country's leading Universities, where I provided general commercial/legal advice to internal stakeholders, undertook contract review and worked on a wide range of contentious student disciplinary matters.
I also undertake my own advocacy, having obtained my Higher Rights of Audience during my period of training. I endeavour to explain complex legal concepts to my clients in a user friendly manner, and to adopt a pragmatic approach to litigation.
Recent examples of cases that I have worked on, include advising:
- Members of a group action in respect of a multimillion pound claim relating to mis-sold investments; and
- An international manufacturing business on an unfair prejudice petition involving historical allegations that stretched back over 30 years; and
- A private individual on the recovery of assets dispersed by a former business partner.
