Kelly Meijers

I am a Senior Associate in Fieldfisher’s Construction team in London, with my practice focused primarily on construction and engineering disputes.

I advise employers, developers, contractors, sub‑contractors and consultants on the resolution of construction disputes, with particular experience in adjudication, mediation and litigation. My work commonly involves payment disputes, final account claims, termination, defects and professional negligence. I regularly support clients with dispute strategy, claims preparation and defence, and settlement negotiations.

I have acted on disputes arising under both standard form and bespoke construction contracts, including JCT, NEC and FIDIC forms. My experience has been shaped largely by work on residential and mixed‑use developments, building safety and remediation schemes, and energy and infrastructure projects.

Alongside my disputes practice, I advise on a more targeted range of non‑contentious and quasi‑transactional matters, particularly in the context of building safety and remediation. I am increasingly involved in negotiating licences and Remedial Works Agreements flowing from the Developer Remediation Contract, and I also review and negotiate construction documentation where this supports wider dispute resolution or remediation strategies.
