I have acted for the State, public sector bodies and entities in the private sector in judicial review cases involving issues of planning, environmental, EU, public and administrative law. For example, I have successfully defended challenges to licences and consents for energy projects, strategic infrastructure, strategic housing, data centres, development plans, and local authority developments. I have also acted in a number of planning injunctions concerning unauthorised development and enforcement proceedings concerning unlicensed activities.

My area of expertise also incorporates ESG related matters, including emissions-trading-scheme (ETS), avoiding greenwashing, non-financial reporting, greenhouse gas emissions targets, resource usage, waste management, governance, data protection & privacy issues, inclusivity & diversity, and health & safety.

I have a degree in environmental science, including 5 years' experience as an environmental consultant, and therefore I have a wealth of experience in the management of contaminated land, and knock-on implications for groundwater and surface water receptors. I regularly advise corporate clients on due diligence and environmental risk associated with mergers and acquisitions.

I have extensive litigation experience, in particular in judicial review in the High Court and Appellate Courts and in the CJEU. I am an experienced and trained advocate, regularly representing my clients in court and tribunal settings.

Beyond the planning and environmental area, I have a wide range of experience, with postgraduate training in data protection, freedom of information and commercial contracts law.
