Professional background

I advise clients on the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights and have worked on cases in the High Court. My experience in the High Court includes assisting with representing Getty Images in a claim for infringement of copyright and other rights against Stability AI in relation to their generative AI model (IL-2023-000007: Getty Images (US), INC. and others v Stability Al Ltd).  I also advise clients on non-contentious matters including protection strategies for their trade mark portfolios and commercial contracts.

While I have experience of a wide range of IP rights, my focus is on technology and data protection disputes and the challenges at the intersection of IP and tech.

I work with clients across a broad spectrum of industries, though I have particular knowledge of the media and technology sector. Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I worked in the legal team of a global newspaper provider and a global mass marketing company. I have also spent time on a technology secondment from Fieldfisher to a large cloud software company, as well as completed a privacy secondment to Fieldfisher's Silicon Valley Office where I serviced a wide realm of US technology clients expanding into Europe.

I am a current member of IPSoc (the society for junior IP practitioners) and I am a Certified Information Privacy Professional in Europe (CIPP/E). I am also a member of the Society for Computers and Law (SCL) and am on the Technology Transactions committee. I have presented on panels with the Technology Transaction Committee through SCL.
