I advise on all aspects of the development of renewable energy projects from the planning permission phase through to the development, construction, financing and operation stages.
I have an in-depth knowledge of the continuously evolving Irish and European legislation regulating energy projects in Ireland; including the conditions governing support schemes available to energy projects and the rules governing participation in the Irish electricity market.
I previously acted as sole in-house counsel to Galetech Energy Developments Limited (“Galetech”), a large renewable energy development company with a portfolio of renewable energy projects in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Africa. I advised Galetech on matters affecting all aspects of its renewable energy projects including construction law, regulatory and environmental law matters. I also represented Galetech in judicial review proceedings in respect of its wind farms.
I regularly present lectures, training and workshops, for clients on a range of renewable energy law topics.
