Dehao Zhang

My knowledge extends to both Chinese laws in regard to personal information protection especially PIPL, and data protection laws in other jurisdictions such as EU GDPR, and Singapore’s PDPA. I have experiences of advising clients on both sides.

My practice covers advising on global data protection compliance projects, internal personal information governance, data protection risk management, and regulatory investigations.
 
I have engaged with multiple major airlines in China, providing legal services covering extensive grounds both domestically and internationally. I have also advised a variety of business including gaming, technology, telecommunication, IoT under data protection laws.  
 
In addition, I held CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPP/CN, and a FIP from the IAPP, Zhaofeng and I have contributed to IAPP’s CIPP/CN training program as Chinese data protection experts. I regularly publish articles at well-known data protection publishers/platforms, such as OneTrust DataGuidance LIR and Practical Law.
