Cristina works in the area of Franchising and Litigation. After graduating from the Central University of Barcelona, she worked in a law firm in London, where she was introduced to Anglo-Saxon civil law, as well as to the world of franchising and international trade. Back in Spain, she worked as assistant director of the Legal Department at Bocatta, where she specialised in the world of franchising, both nationally and internationally.
In Fieldfisher's Distribution and Franchising department, she deals with the problems of foreign franchise networks setting up in Spain, as well as the opening of national franchises abroad. She is a member of the IBA (International Bar Association) and regularly attends meetings specific to franchising (International Franchise Association). She also attends the biannual meetings of EFL (European Franchise Law), which allows her to be permanently up to date with European legislation on the subject.
Moreover, after the financial crisis of 2007, the collapse of Lehman Brothers, the nationalisation of the Icelandic banks and the Madoff scandal, she has deepened her knowledge of financial law in order to be able to help investors deal with their financial problems, especially those related to financial derivatives. Currently, she combines her work as an international franchise advisor with banking litigation in Fieldfisher's litigation department.
