I have been involved in a diverse range of high-profile cases, major public inquiries, inquests and other types of investigation, with experience in both the Australian and the UK jurisdictions. In my most recent role, I advised various government departments and prominent public officials in a major public inquiry. I have also assisted in bringing a judicial review action before the UK High Court of Justice.
I practiced as a criminal defence lawyer in Australia providing strategic advice on criminal matters and white-collar crime. I appeared as an advocate for clients in State and Commonwealth cases across Queensland and in the High Court of Australia. I was previously an Associate to a District Court Judge in Queensland, handling complex criminal and civil proceedings.
Early in my career I worked as part of the legal teams who acted for large banks and corporations in complex litigation and corporate transactions at an international law firm.
