My practice focuses on advising borrowers on real estate investment and development finance transactions but I also advise on general corporate borrowing, acquisition finance and asset backed lending. I previously headed up the banking legal team at a Big 4 accountancy firm.
I also have extensive experience in advising on the reorganisation and simplification of complex corporate structures as well as establishing JVs and undertaking demergers. Bringing together both specialisms, I advise on both the corporate structuring and banking legal issues arising on such projects to ensure a rounded legal service.
Given my borrower focus on finance transactions, I work with a number of privately owned businesses, family offices, high net worth individuals, property funds, developers, investors and asset managers. My team and I aim to be an integrated part of our clients’ businesses, acting as an outsourced general counsel able to draw on specialists across our real estate, private client, corporate and finance teams to cover each client’s legal needs.
I also advise large international groups on their treasury management arrangements ranging from cash pooling to cross-border collections and payments on behalf of arrangements (COBO and POBO).
I am passionate about diversity and inclusion and try to role model the right behaviours day to day in my work as well as promoting it across the Real Estate industry more generally. I’m also an avid netballer and can be found on court most Saturdays playing for my club in South West London.
