European law firm Fieldfisher has established its new operation in Italy, with a Milan office launch on 10th April 2024.
The new office is part of Fieldfisher's integrated firm. It initially consists of five partners, six directors and 15 lawyers, with a total headcount of 26 people. It is based in the centre of Milan, next to the Duomo, the city's most recognisable landmark.
The team is led by Alessandro Mulinacci as its Country Managing Partner, and includes Partners Diego Rigatti, Ettore Bonaccorsi, Michele Ghiringhelli and Giuseppe Limido, who worked with Fieldfisher previously.
The client services will initially focus on the team's core expertise in corporate and M&A, energy dispute resolution, IP, transfer pricing and tax, for which the team is highly regarded in the local market. The team has long acted for a stellar roster of clients including the country's leading banks, corporates, manufacturing companies and retailers.
Having previously worked with Fieldfisher, the Italian partners are already adept at acting alongside their international colleagues on cross-border matters for Italian clients. This collaboration will only increase with a new office set up.
This development comes after Fieldfisher ended its arrangement with its local partner in Italy. Italy remains an important market for Fieldfisher and, with this move, will continue to form an integral part of the firm's European growth strategy.
