European law firm Fieldfisher has promoted eight lawyers – five women and three men - to the partnership, effective from 1 May 2020.
The new partners are spread across the firm's London, Birmingham, Manchester and Düsseldorf offices and represent the development of talent across the firm's international footprint. The promotions are spread across a variety of Fieldfisher's practice areas including: disputes, finance, real estate and regulatory.
Commenting on the promotions, Fieldfisher Managing Partner, Michael Chissick, said:

It is easy to become focussed on COVID-19 – understandably at the moment – but that should not detract from their achievements and reaching this milestone. The new Fieldfisher partners are:
Jennifer Buchanan – Personal Injury, London
Jennifer is an expert in all aspects of personal injury work. She works exclusively for claimants in high-value, catastrophic personal injury and fatal accident cases. She is well known for advising on bicycle injury cases and trained at the firm.
Oliver Carlyon – Regulatory, London
Oliver specialises in advising clients in connection with investigations, with a particular focus on inquests and public inquiries. He is part of our market leading team advising on inquiries.
Emma-Kate Hargreave – Disputes, Manchester
Emma works on a variety of litigious matters covering a variety of practice areas including Commercial Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property & Technology, Personal Injury and Medical Negligence, Public Regulatory and Property Litigation.
Dr Axel Hoppe – Corporate, Düsseldorf
Axel advises all topics of corporate and capital market law. In particular he advises managers and board members on Corporate Compliance.
James Lewis – Disputes, London
James advises banks, investors, manufacturers, fintech companies and high-net-worth-individuals on contractual and other related issues arising out of finance, supply and insurance contracts, and shareholder arrangements and agreements.
Laura Mackenzie – Real Estate, London
Laura acts for institutional investors, corporate occupiers, property companies and developers in connection with a wide range of commercial property transactions.
Ellie Pinnells – Disputes, Birmingham
Ellie has a particular focus on offering a bilingual service to German clients, as well as representing clients in a wide range of commercial disputes including breach of contract, construction disputes and competition follow-on damages claims. Ellie is also our lead lawyer on the Roscoe Reid equal pay claims practice.
Jenny Warren – Financial Markets and Products, London
Jenny is a derivatives lawyer with over 10 years' experience advising both sell-side and buy-side clients on derivatives, securities financing transactions, and related regulatory issues.
