With the growth investment of the investor Main Capital in the Cleversoft Group, Main Capital will support Cleversoft with capital and additional software expertise. The Cleversoft Group, concentrated under a new holding company, will expand its range of solutions and regulatory regimes both organically and inorganically. The two new partners have agreed to focus on sustainable growth and a closely networked buy-and-build strategy. Together they want to use the current market situation to make Cleversoft a market leader of RegTech players in Europe. In addition to a consistently strong growth course, the focus will be on add-on acquisitions that are compatible with the Group. In addition to internationalization, the goal is expansion into neighboring markets.
Founded in 2004, Cleversoft is a leading software specialist in the RegTech market, serving more than 200 customers in the financial sector with solutions to efficiently meet the growing number of regulatory requirements. Regulatory services are backed by lifecycle management for both the marketing process and customer relations (CRM).
Main Capital is a strategic investor with a focus on the software sector in Benelux, Germany and Scandinavia. Within this sector, the company specialises in management buy-outs and later-stage growth capital. Main Capital manages around 400 million euros of investments in established but growing software companies throughout Europe. Investments in Germany include JobRouter, artegic and b+m Holding.

München, 12. Dezember 2018 – Das Münchener Corporate Team von Fieldfisher um Partner Dr. Martin Böttger hat die Münchener Cleversoft Gruppe um den Inhaber Florian Clever bei einem sog. Buy and Build Plattform-Deal mit dem niederländischen Investor Main Capital Partners beraten.
Mit dem Wachstumsinvestment des Investors Main Capital in die Cleversoft Gruppe unterstützt Main Capital zukünftig Cleversoft durch Kapital und zusätzliche Software-Expertise. Die unter einer neuen Holding-Gesellschaft gebündelte Cleversoft-Gruppe wiederum wird ihr Spektrum an Lösungen und abgedeckten Regulierungsregimes organisch und anorganisch vergrößern. Die beiden neuen Partner haben vereinbart, sowohl auf einen nachhaltigen Wachstumskurs als auch auf eine eng vernetzte Buy-and-Build-Strategie zu setzen. Gemeinsam möchte man die aktuelle Marktlage nutzen, um Cleversoft zu einem Marktführer der RegTech-Player innerhalb Europas wachsen zu lassen. Im Fokus liegen neben einem konstant starken Wachstumskurs zur Gruppe passende Add-On-Akquisitionen. Ziel ist neben einer Internationalisierung die Expansion in angrenzende Märkte.
