Fieldfisher advises Olympus on European IT outsourcing

Fieldfisher has advised Olympus Europa Holding GmbH on the outsourcing of their European IT infrastructure to Info AG. The outsourcing deal is worth around €27 million and runs for five years.

Services transferred to Info AG under the contract include, server administration, backup & restore and network & security. Info AG will operate these services centrally for Olympus’ EU-wide businesses.

Olympus Europa Holding GmbH, based in Hamburg, comprises the 44 European subsidiary companies of Japanese electronics manufacturer Olympus. In addition to cameras, Olympus also produces optical and digital devices for industrial and medical purposes as well as audio recording devices.

Info AG is a full-service provider in the field of information technology, also based in Hamburg. The company is one of Germany’s leading providers of IT outsourcing and IT consulting.
