Fieldfisher's Eleonor Duhs will be part of a panel discussion at this year's European Data Protection Summit being held on 3rd June in London.
The panel, hosted by OneTrust, is on cross-border transfers of personal data. Eleonor was previously the UK Government’s lead lawyer in EU negotiations on the GDPR. Her work included drafting text included in the legislation, and she worked with the European Commission, representatives from other EU Member States, regulators and stakeholders to develop the regime.
The European Data Protection Summit & Dinner will bring together an international line-up of expert speakers exploring the latest insights and findings in data protection, governance and security.
Among the speakers will be Austrian activist Max Schrems who is in the news today following the Irish Supreme Court's dismissal of Facebook's appeal over a High Court decision to refer key issues concerning the validity of European Commission decisions approving EU-US data transfer channels to the Court of Justice of the EU.
