Mr Gabbert represents a diverse range of sponsors, from boutiques to banks, on fund establishment and advises sophisticated investors in funds including pension schemes, family offices and sovereign wealth funds. He also assists clients on governance and disputes and handles corporate transactions such as seeding deals, joint ventures, spin outs and acquisitions. Mr Gabbert is known in the market for advising on innovative asset classes, including agricultural commodity infrastructure, art and gambling technology and for his skill in resolving difficult or contentious issues for clients.
Commenting on Mr Gabbert's appointment, Co-Head of the Financial Markets and Products Group at Fieldfisher, Guy Usher said; "We are very pleased to have Dale join us. Although we have had a funds practice for many years and are well known for mutual funds work, we have not kept pace with the growth of the rest of the firm and Dale fixes that for us overnight."
Previously a partner at Reed Smith, where he headed that firm's Middle East and Africa funds practice, and Nabarro, Mr Gabbert studied law at the London School of Economics and gained a Master of Laws at University of London.

Mr Gabbert regularly speaks at finance industry events and has written a number of articles and books on funds.
