Community Life Survey – Volunteering and charitable giving results published
The Community Life Survey gathers information on whether adults (16+) have volunteered or given to charitable causes. 62% of respondents have volunteered in the last 12 months. 63% of respondents said they have given to charitable causes in the last 4 weeks. Read further analysis here.

Charity Commission responds to corporate governance consultation
The Charity Commission has responded to the Government's consultation on "Restoring trust in audit and corporate governance". It does not support "extending a framework designed with the interests of shareholders and for-profit commerce in mind to the charity sector". Read more here.

Charity Commission bans trustee of multiple inactive charities for 'elaborate deceit'
The Commission uncovered that a trustee who controlled multiple charities had been misleading them about his identity. Six charities associated with the individual have been removed from the register. Read the decision here.
