Charity Commission launches inquiry into housing charity following concerns of financial mismanagement
A statutory inquiry has been opened into My Space Housing Solutions following an inspection of the charity's books and records. The Regulator will be investigating potential conflicts of interest and possible mismanagement of funds. Read more.

Supreme Court confirms creditor duty
The Supreme Court has affirmed in a recent case that directors do have a common law duty to consider and give appropriate weight to the interests of the company's creditors (in certain circumstances). This has important implications for any charity or not for profit organisation incorporated as a company. Read more.

Government releases plans to help businesses, charities and public sector organisations with energy bills
