European law firm Fieldfisher and Donaldson Legal Consulting have today announced that they have joined forces through the establishment of a strategic partnership.
Alison founded Donaldson Legal Consulting in 2005 to provide financial trading documentation, negotiation and associated services to financial institutions, corporations and asset managers and currently employs 25 people based in Belfast.
The Donaldson Legal Consulting business has been incorporated into a new limited liability partnership, Donaldson Legal Consulting LLP ("DLC LLP"), which will be led by Alison Donaldson as managing partner.
DLC LLP will continue to operate as an independent business and will continue to service Donaldson Legal Consulting clients. Fieldfisher will provide support and infrastructure to the business.
Fieldfisher and Donaldson Legal Consulting have already partnered up on specific client engagements through Fieldfisher's award-winning Condor Alternative Legal Solutions platform which was launched in January 2017. Condor is an innovative new business division of Fieldfisher with the aim of offering clients a flexible and customisable range of price-efficient and process-efficient services, partnering with best-in-class service providers and delivered in a single “law firm wrapped and quality-assured” package.
Guy Usher, head of Fieldfisher's derivatives group and a co-founder of Condor said: "This strategic tie up with Alison's business makes perfect sense.
