Ady van Nieuwenhuizen is a European privacy and intellectual property lawyer from Fieldfisher's Netherlands office. She has a particular focus on privacy (GDPR/AVG), cybersecurity, digital/social media, e-commerce and new technologies.
Ady has been on a one week business trip to China. The purpose of this trip was to visit several Chinese airlines regarding advice in the field of data protection law and visit Fieldfisher's China offices.
First stop, Guangzhou. Ady was invited to give a speech on "A Hitchhikers Guide to the GDPR" at Guangzhou Lawyers Association. Ady was the first foreign speaker to present at the Guangzhou Lawyers Association and Fieldfisher was very honoured to have this opportunity to talk about the firm's practical experience of the GDPR since it came into force a year ago.
Over the week, Ady visited a number of leading Chinese airlines to talk about the GDPR.
Ady's last stop was Beijing. Ady joined Dr. Zhaofeng Zhou and Dehao Zhang of our Fieldfisher Beijing office for a GDPR event at the Kempinski Hotel on 10th May. This seminar was to share Fieldfisher’s experience in corporate GDPR compliance to help companies identify and solve problems they may face in this area.
