Digitisation is in full swing in almost all economic sectors and is making its way, although somewhat hesitantly, into the real estate industry. Inspections with VR glasses, real estate investments via blockchain or evaluations of real estate data using artificial intelligence are certainly not yet part of everyday life in the industry, but they are not an utopia. Digitisation brings new opportunities and benefits, but digital change is also a huge challenge. Companies, associations, politics and science are called upon to work out joint solutions. In particular, disruptive technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence require new approaches and special regulations. The question of whether and how one can jump on the "digitization train" and benefit from it versus the worry of missing the connection is a driving force in the industry.
In this context, please note 6 October 2018 as the date of the 14th IRE|BS Real Estate Symposium. Embedded in the event, the "IRE|BS PropTech Entrepreneur 2018" Audience Award will be presented at the end. Additionally also in this year the research prices by the gif society for real estate economic research registered association. (gif e.V.).
