Godstone Farm update – E.coli 0157

12 Kings Bench Walk have reported on the recent case of the E.coli outbreak at Godstone Farm – the article looks at the physical and psychological effects E.coli had on those children who contracted the disease. It also highlights how the children have the right to return for further damages if they contract chronic kidney damage. Field Fisher Waterhouse were the solicitors for those affected in this case. In 2011 the farm admitted liability and at the start of this month the case was finally settled.

Sadly there has been another outbreak in Lancashire at Huntley's Country Stores. It is reported that 14 people including children have contracted E.coli 0157 following a lambing event that was being run from 29 March to 24 April. The best protection against contracting E.coli 0157 is to use an alcohol hand gel in addition to using soap and water when washing your hands.
