Our trainees are the foundation of this project. They are in charge of running the case from start to finish. This involves attending the interview to meeting the client and observe the student, working closely with and providing feedback to the student on the draft letter and liaising internally with a qualified supervisor to discuss the legal issues in hand. The clinic is a great opportunity for trainees to take on early responsibility, get to know people from all around the firm, and to give back to the local community all in one go.
“Fieldfisher are a committed and longstanding partner of the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre supervising client advice in; contract, consumer, landlord and tenant, and employment cases. They are dedicated to providing pro bono support to the most vulnerable people in society as well as developing and educating QMUL students to be future lawyers with the same ethos of public engagement. We cannot thank all at Fieldfisher enough for the contribution they make to the Centre, its clients and its Student Advisers.”

"The assistance I received was first class. It's good to know that such a service exists for people like me who can't afford to instruct a solicitor."
