Professional background

I have significant experience in public and administrative law, particularly in the planning and environmental sphere, including: judicial review, regulatory investigations, inquests, licensing enforcement, planning law, freedom of information law and statutory interpretation. I also have a detailed understanding of aviation law across a number of areas including airline licensing and runway capacity expansion.

I regularly advise in relation to data protection and information security and routinely deal with data subject access requests, data sharing agreements, data processing agreements, data protection impact assessments, and privacy and cookie policies. I also advise clients in respect of data breaches and engagement with the Data Protection Commission. I am familiar with the appellate processes concerning freedom of information requests before both the Information Commissioner and the High Court, and have drafted submissions to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner and the Information Commissioner.

In my spare time I enjoy running, sea swimming, cycling, rugby and cooking.
