I am a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team and hold an LL.M. from Duke Law School (North Carolina, USA, 2007). I specialise in civil and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on complex appeals before the Spanish Supreme Court.
I have been recognised by The Legal 500 as one of Spain’s leading civil litigation lawyers and have been listed in Best Lawyers since 2016. One of the leading legal publications has described me as a “specialist in complex appeals”.
I have extensive experience defending companies and individuals across a broad range of sectors, including capital markets, distribution, franchising, corporate disputes, construction, insurance, commercial services and civil liability. I also represent consumer associations in collective actions.
As part of my specialisation in complex appeals, my recent achievements include a landmark decision by the High Court of Justice of Madrid annulling an arbitral award on public policy grounds, as well as a leading Supreme Court ruling that, for the first time, upheld the use of collective actions in claims arising from the sale of securities. Both cases attracted significant media attention.
I am a lecturer in Procedural Law at UIC – Universitat Internacional de Catalunya and a member of the Spanish Business Litigation Club. I regularly speak at conferences and have authored articles for legal publications and national media on matters related to my practice. Over the past twelve months, my speaking engagements have included several lectures and webinars focused on Supreme Court litigation.
I also regularly conduct legal drafting workshops for other law firms, universities and public administrations. As part of my professional practice, I maintain an active presence on social media and share my passion for the law through my blog, Litigio de Autor.
