Before joining Fieldfisher, I worked in a Dutch subsidiary of a Fortune 100 Company focusing on data protection and antitrust compliance. I also had internship experience at the International Court of Justice of the United Nations.
Since joining Fieldfisher, I have been mainly focusing on data protection (including establishing data protection compliance systems, conducting cross-border data transfer notifications, and performing PIAs in different jurisdictions) and antitrust law (such as notifications for multinational joint ventures, global competition law risk assessments, and antitrust compliance training).
In the field of data protection, I am familiar with data protection laws in China, the European Union, and Australia. I excel at providing foreign clients with tailored compliance solutions based on their specific needs in different jurisdictions. Especially in matters such as cross-border data transfer and important data, I have provided legal opinions to large multinational companies in industries of aviation, advertising, and TMT.
Furthermore, I hold certifications as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) issued by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). I am also certified as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) by the Exam Institute of Information Science (EXIN), including the specific certification EXIN DPO-PIPL for the Personal Information Protection Law of the PRC (PIPL).
In the field of competition law, I am knowledgeable about laws and practices in China, the European Union, and Australia. I have provided antitrust compliance services to various large global companies in the aviation, pharmaceuticals, and TMT sectors.
I am qualified in both Australia and China.
I hold a JD degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia, an LL.M (advanced) degree from Leiden University in the Netherlands, as well as a Master's degree in International Law and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Xiamen University.
I am native in Mandarin and fluent in English.
