My work focuses on delivering responsible, sustainable outcomes that contribute to an inclusive and just transition across global policy, risk and governance systems, business practices and designing innovative stakeholder initiatives to catalyse driving impact.

I lead transformation across business models, operations, people, risk/governance and financing approaches, and stakeholder relationships. By aligning purpose with responsible and sustainable practices, I help organisations embed these principles into building their business value and resilience, together with seeking to drive meaningful and measurable impact.

Over the last 20 years, I have actively contributed to systemic change and leadership by supporting the United Nations Global Compact as a Special Advisor on corporate responsibility and Business and Human Rights (2014-16), and rule of law, governance projects; working as part of B20 Taskforces from 2020 (across Energy Mix and Just Transition, Integrity & Compliance Taskforce (sustainable governance) ESG & Women in Business Action Councils); as a member of the World Economic Forum Global Futures Council on Transparency and Anti-corruption, and as an International Chamber of Commerce UK Commissioner and their Corporate Responsibility and Anti-Corruption Committee.

I regularly participate in governance and sustainability industry events as a keynote speaker, panellist and commentator and technical advisor to industry and other organisations to solve for our global sustainability transition. Increasingly, I am focused on Board level transition, systems change through intersection with innovation, and impactful collective action to scale.

I have advised clients on responsible and sustainable business conduct, business integrity/ethics & impact approaches and issues, including human rights and SDGs. My Chambers Directory rankings include Business and Human Rights Law Global-wide Band 1 and Eminent Practitioner and, previously, ESG – Global-wide: Band 3 individual.

What others say…

We're excited to be centralising our sustainability and ESG function as a core strategic focus and department within the firm and Nicole has exactly the right experience and know-how to lead on this. As someone who has dedicated her career to driving sustainability and ESG forwards across a number of organisations globally, she is just the right person to support Fieldfisher as we embark on new sustainability initiatives.
