I have a deep understanding of CIS clients’ legal, business, and cultural needs, coupled with sector-specific knowledge and a practical, commercial approach. While my primary focus is fraud, my practice spans a broad spectrum of commercial litigation — such as employment class actions, construction disputes, shareholder disputes, white collar crime investigations, and IP disputes — making me a generalist litigator with the ability to handle disputes across a variety of fields. I also act for clients outside the CIS region and regularly advise on cases with a strong international dimension.

My expertise includes all aspects of disclosure and eDisclosure, and I have managed complex document review processes using platforms such as Everlaw and Relativity. I am currently part of Fieldfisher’s eDisclosure practice and pursuing Everlaw certification. I feel passionate about enhancing lawyers’ work via technology and AI, and due to my extensive legal tech experience, I can act as a conduit between the legal and technical worlds. I also feel strongly about improving access to justice via technology and advocate for it in my pro bono work with the Innocence Project.

I was called to the Bar in 2009 (unregistered) and was the first Russian speaker to achieve that and, before joining Fieldfisher in 2018, spent nearly seven years at a top 20 international City firm where I did my training contract and practised as a construction disputes lawyer. I am a recipient of a major award from the Inner Temple, including the Duke of Edinburgh Scholarship and the Allen Levy QC Scholarship.

I was born and grew up by the Caspian Sea in the Mangystau Region of Kazakhstan and moved to England in 1998. In my spare time I enjoy reading science fiction and dystopian genre books, attending opera and theatre, playing the piano, vocal lessons, studying ballet and performing.
