I advise public bodies and regulators in relation to all aspects of the discharge of their statutory functions under domestic and EU laws and regulations, practice, procedure, investigations and enforcement, with a particular focus on consumer protection and financial services.
I have experience in the preparation of judicial review proceedings and applications for hearing before the High Court as well as defending statutory appeals.
I am an experienced advocate having appeared regularly before the Circuit Court and the Superior Courts.
I currently lead a team onsite with a public body client managing a large-scale project that involves the investigation and adjudication of complaints concerning breaches of legal, statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations in the area of financial services. I also provide advice on issues such as jurisdiction, fair procedures, statutory interpretation and oral hearings.
I have a keen interest in alternative dispute resolution processes and I am an accredited mediator having completed the ADR Group accredited civil and commercial course. I also hold an Advanced Diploma in Corporate, White-Collar and Regulatory Crime from the Honourable Society of King's Inns and a professional Diploma in Financial Regulation from City Colleges.
