Professional background

I specialise in providing advice and assistance to clients affected by sensitive and large-scale investigations, including major public inquiries, inquests and independent investigations. I also have experience assisting clients with public law challenges, including acting for claimants and defendants in judicial review proceedings.

I have over ten years of experience in the Regulatory Group and in doing so have worked on several high-profile and highly sensitive investigations, including: the Daniel Morgan Independent Panel Report, the Independent Inquiry into issues raised by the David Fuller case and the UK Covid-19 Inquiry. I have also acted for both organisations or individuals who are witnesses or Core Participants to an Inquiry, such as the Grenfell Tower Inquiry and the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry.

My work in online safety and technology regulation involves advising clients in relation to highly sensitive inquest proceedings with an online harms connection, providing strategic advice and supervising complex data collation and disclosure exercises for provision to the Coroner and Ofcom.

I have undertaken a number of client secondments to assist clients with meeting disclosure obligations, advising on the risks of legal challenge, ensuring compliance with data protection obligations and responding to warning letters or requests for witness statements. I recently completed a secondment to a development investment bank, leading a complex internal investigation.

Restoration to the medical register – a balancing act

08.01.2018
The recent case of General Medical Council v Chandra [2017] EWHC 2556 (Admin) explores the fine balance to be struck between ensuring public confidence in the medical profession and taking into account steps undertaken by those applying to have their name restored to the medical register to show that they have remedied their conduct and reduced or eliminated future risk.
