I am a real estate lawyer with over 15 years’ experience advising local market, national and international clients on all manner of real estate transactions with extensive experience in high value investment acquisitions and disposals, asset management of client portfolio’s and development in predominantly the logistics and industrial sector but also retail, office parks, science and technology parks and mixed-use/retail schemes.

I have particular expertise in investment transactions and working with large UK Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT), and a leading owner, asset manager and developer of modern warehousing and light industrial property, national and international investor landlord clients and local market investors and developers predominantly focussed on the big box and urban warehouse market but also extended to the office, retails and science and technology park sectors. This work involves a well managed and streamlined KPI-driven asset management offering, which has significantly assisted with estate management, void rates, speed to rent and income generation and risk reduction.

I have acted on behalf of various public and private sector developer clients. Transactions I have worked on include; the disposal of a £205m investment portfolio, the disposal of £114m portfolio within three weeks from instruction to completion, project managing all aspects of the disposal process, and the letting of c.500,000 sq ft logistics unit in Sheffield with an exchange of agreement for lease within a ten-day timetable.

I also represent corporate occupiers on their office requirements. In terms of development projects, I have advised on major industrial development schemes and business districts having recently represented Langtree Property Partners in respect of the simultaneous sub-sale by way of a long lease to Euro Garages at Hollinwood Business District as part of strategic advice on the development of that area with Oldham Borough Council.

In terms of corporate occupiers, I represent very well established property consultants on their own requirements and a large financial institution in respect of its branch premises requirements nationally. My experience working with the financial institution has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of the working arrangements with this bank and has also enabled me to develop a specialist understanding of the electronic communications code and its operation. Currently, I am project managing a vast number of electronic communications code agreements for a significant financial institution client across their branch premises.

Previous expertise working with landlord shopping centre clients Lend Lease, Westfield Shopping Centres, Freeport / Realm Limited in agreement with Hermes.

In Chambers 2014 the team that I was part of at Eversheds was ranked Tier 1 and I was recognised individually with the commentary “Kirsty Tinsley-Fenney ‘is super-organised and extremely thorough’ she led on the SEGRO matter”. I am particularly proud to have secured a ranking for the real estate team I was leading at FDR Law in the 2017 Legal 500 rankings and individually described by Legal 500 as ‘brilliant’!
