Javier is a Principal Lawyer in the Banking & Finance department. He joined the firm in 2024 and has extensive professional experience in this area.
He advises on all types of national and international operations in the field of corporate finance, acquisition finance, project finance, asset finance and debt restructuring, both for creditors - credit institutions, debt funds and private equity - and for the affected companies, and in all types of sectors.
Before joining Fieldfisher, he was part of Araoz&Rueda, where he developed his career as a senior associate in Banking & Finance for 7 years and in the legal advisory and general secretary of Abengoa (currently Cox), where he participated in the global restructuring of the group's debt until 2017. He was also part of Pérez-Llorca and Uría Menéndez at the beginning of his professional career.
He holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2014) and is a member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM).
His working languages are Spanish and English.
