I am an Australian-qualified intellectual property lawyer specialising in large, complex and often high-profile copyright and trade marks litigation and disputes for both international and domestic clients. I am in the team of lawyers at Fieldfisher acting for Getty Images in a copyright and other rights infringement claim relating to AI generated art against Stability AI.
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I worked for five years at two top tier Australian law firms. In that time, I represented many Australian and international clients in the Federal Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia.
My experience in Australia included working on several landmark copyright and trade mark cases including acting for Harold Thomas (Luritja artist, activist and creator of the Australian Aboriginal Flag) in a high-profile negotiated copyright deal with the Commonwealth Government of Australia to unfetter the Australian Aboriginal Flag, a symbol of pride and unity.
Outside of work, I enjoy creative writing.
