Since 2002, Borja has been advising companies in the antitrust field. He regularly supports companies in the interpretation of practical issues related to antitrust rules, as well as in the implementation of specific antitrust compliance programmes.
He has advised companies in antitrust inspections and in European, national and regional administrative proceedings on restrictive agreements, including cartels, and abuses of dominant position, as well as on mergers and investment control. He also has significant experience in advising on state aid (including the Foreign Subsidies Control Regulation) and internal market law.
He has also represented clients before the Spanish civil courts in competition-related cases, both in the area of damages and unfair competition.
He is a regular contributor to university and higher education institutions and is the author of numerous publications on competition law in specialised media and he is Secretary and member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association for the Defence of Competition (Asociación Española de Defensa de la Competencia).
