During his time at Jones Day, Adrián worked for clients active in the oil and renewable energy sector. He has defended their interests before the public authorities in matters related to the adoption of new legislation, law enforcement, and other regulatory issues arising at any territorial level. He has participated in administrative procedures before the Spanish government and the governments of the Autonomous Communities, including appeals against regulatory fines, allegations in public consultations on new legislation, and complaints before the Secretary of Council for the Market Unity. He has also participated in contentious-administrative procedures before the Supreme Court in relation to appeals against national regulations and appeals against decisions from the Council of Ministers. In the competition law field, he participated in a variety of cases before the National Court and the Spanish Competition Authority, including competition infringement procedures, leniency programs, merger control procedures, and appeals against decisions from the Spanish Competition Authority.
In addition, he has worked at the legal department of IBM where he got involved in public outsourcing contracts, public tender procedures, and research collaboration agreements with public entities.
He holds an LLM in EU Law from Carlos III University of Madrid and studied environmental sciences for three years at Alcalá de Henares University. He is a fully qualified lawyer member of the Madrid Bar.

Adrián is a native Spanish speaker and also speaks English fluently and French at an intermediate level.
