I focus my legal practice on regulatory law with special emphasis on chemicals and agrochemicals. I am the focal point for cases in Spain and have relevant experience in approval and authorisation procedures of pesticides, fertilisers and means of biocontrol, amongst others.

I have advised clients active in variety of regulated sectors, such as oil, renewable energy, IT, chemicals, and life sciences and defended client's interests before public authorities at both EU and national level. At national level, I participated in numerous administrative and judicial procedures before regulatory authorities and the Courts of Spain. In particular, I have worked on administrative procedures before the Spanish central government and the Autonomous Communities in relation to regulatory authorisations, infringement procedures, administrative appeals and commenting periods of draft legislation. I have participated as well in contentious-administrative procedures before the National Court and the Supreme Court in relation to appeals against national regulations, sanctioning decisions and decisions from the Council of Ministers.

Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I worked at the legal department of the IT company IBM, where I got involved in legal matters related to the public sector, such as public outsourcing contracts, public tender procedures and research collaboration agreements with public entities.

I hold an LLM in European Union Law from the University Carlos III of Madrid and studied Private International Law at the American University of Washington D.C. (Washington College of Law). I also studied environmental sciences for three years at the University of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid.

I am a fully qualified lawyer and member of the Brussels and Madrid Bar.

I am a native Spanish speaker, speak English fluently and French at an intermediate level.
