More than £6,500 raised for HASAG and Mesothelioma UK following team's daring descent

18/11/2021
So long as you're not frightened of heights, do enjoy this bird's eye view of one of the team abseiling down the Arcelor Mittal Orbit sculpture in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford last weekend. The asbestos disease team was joined by Steven Snowden QC and Gemma Scott from 12 King's Bench Walk, and Lynne Squibb, Alison Squibb and Jay Squibb from HASAG, who together raised more than £6,500 for mesothelioma charities.

The general consensus from the team, following a moment of sheer terror as they stepped backwards off the ledge 80m above ground, was that the whole experience was 'brilliant' and one not to be missed. The team was also overwhelmed by the generosity of those who sponsored them to complete the challenge which they certainly won't forget any time soon.

We are proud to support HASAG and Mesothelioma UK in providing vital information and support to people affected by this terrible disease.

Below are some pictures from the day.
