I advise regulators and professional regulatory bodies on all aspects of their statutory functions, as well as in relation to their practice and procedures. I have a particular interest in:  

• Investigating and presenting complaints to Fitness to Practise Committees;
• Providing litigation and eDiscovery services for administrative sanctions hearings;
• Appearing before regulatory Boards and Councils;
• Advising on the exercise of statutory functions, statutory interpretation and fair procedures;
• Preparing High Court confirmation applications.

Alongside my specialisation within public and regulatory law, I am passionate about animal welfare. Myself and my colleagues recently published a paper (on a pro bono basis) outlining key reforms to dog breeding legislation in Ireland. I also advise certain dog rescues (on a pro bono basis) in relation to legal issues as they arise for them. In addition, I am experienced in advising on the Control of Dogs Act 1986 (as amended).
