Fieldfisher Ireland Corporate and Commercial team advise US Based IT company Climb on their acquisition of DataSolutions

Irish IT and security services reseller DataSolutions, has been acquired by US-based Climb Global Solutions.
Fieldfisher Ireland's Corporate and Commercial team, led by Feilim O'Caoimh (Partner) and Jamie Woodcock (Senior Associate), advised Climb on the purchase.

Climb is a global IT channel company providing both distribution and cloud technology solution. Acquiring DataSolutions gives the New Jersey-based organisation access to the Irish and UK markets to expand its IT services distribution business, which it has been running for more than 40 years.

Referencing the opportunities created by the acquisition, Climb CEO Dale Foster said: “The composition of their line card is highly conducive for cross-sell opportunities, which will enable us to build greater depth with our partners.

“DataSolutions has established a robust recurring revenue base, with more than 90% of its fiscal 2023 revenue coming from existing reseller partners. We expect this acquisition to be immediately accretive to earnings, while enhancing our gross profit and adjusted EBITDA margins, thus advancing our profitability objectives while fortifying our foundation for long-term growth.”
