With more than 20 years of experience as a litigation lawyer, Andrés de la Quadra stands out for his pre-litigation advice and for the management of all types of complex judicial and arbitration proceedings in the areas of civil and commercial law. 

Throughout his professional experience, he has conducted national and international judicial and arbitration proceedings before multiple arbitration courts (ICC, IATA, CIMA, Madrid Court of Arbitration, ad hoc arbitrations), mainly actions in contract, tort, corporate law, R&W claims and others arising from M&A transactions. He has also worked on unfair competition, claims and declaratory actions. It should be noted that he has also directed and assisted in construction and building actions, actions relating to distribution and agency contracts and actions in bankruptcy proceedings, in the qualification section.

He has developed his professional career as a litigation lawyer in different international law firms such as Clifford Chance and CMS-Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo.

At the academic level, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and a Master's degree in Community Law from the Renée Descartes University of Paris (PARIS V) (D.E.S.S. Diplôme d'Études Supérieures Spécialisées en Droit Communautaire des Affaires). He completed two years of his degree in Economics at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia and studied financial mathematics at the Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF) in Madrid, before preparing for the competitive exams for the Cuerpo de Abogados del Estado.

  • Legal proceedings for construction defects on behalf of the developer against the builder and the construction management.
  • Qualification section in judicial insolvency proceedings in relation to the liability of the insolvency administrators for the payment of the insolvency deficit.
  • Legal proceedings aimed at annulling an inheritance administration for 20 years on an inherited estate consisting of large business assets.
  • ICC arbitration concerning a dispute over defects in the design, construction and assembly of industrial machinery. 
  • Legal proceedings for breach of contract for the supply of gas on behalf of a business group against a marketer.
  • Legal proceedings on behalf of a foreign company sued in Spain for breach of contract and damages in a matter subject to foreign law for the supply of an allegedly defective product.

He can work in several languages: Spanish, English and French.
