Professional background

I advise clients on matters relating to EU and international trade law. My work focuses on the following key areas: trade remedies (including anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations), export control and sanctions, customs law, as well as general compliance with EU regulations impacting international trade. In advising clients on trade matters, I also focus on ESG‑related instruments such as CBAM and EUDR.

I am committed to combining technical expertise with practical solutions, helping clients achieve compliance while maintaining commercial flexibility. In addition, I contribute to publications and seminars on international trade and regulatory topics.

I hold a Bachelor's degree from KU Leuven and Université Saint‑Louis (2018), and a Master's degree KU Leuven (2020). I also hold an Advanced Master’s degree in EU Studies and International Relations from the Centre international de formation européenne and the University of Kent (2021), as well as an LL.M. in Competition Law and Economics from the Brussels School of Competition (2024).

I joined the Brussels Bar in 2022. I am a native speaker of Dutch and Russian, fluent in French and English, and have a good knowledge of German

Second implementation package published by the European Commission on CBAM The gradual implementation of the definitive CBAM regime will start as of 1 January 2026 during a period of 8 years until 2034 (in parallel with phasing out EU ETS allowances). It will require companies importing covered goods to purchase CBAM certificates to offset embedded carbon emissions.
