My experience includes working with international legal and tax consulting firms in Berlin and Warsaw.

From 2016 to 2018, I served as an advisor to the Minister of Development and Finance, where I was responsible for coordinating the implementation of tax solutions designed to support investment and innovation. In 2018, I became deputy director of the Income Tax Department and head of the Legal and Comparative Analysis Team at the Ministry of Finance. During this time, I also co-founded and served as deputy director of the GovTech Poland program, worked as an expert at the Polish Economic Institute, and was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Social Insurance Institution.

Between 2019 and 2022, I held the position of Deputy Minister of Finance, leading the tax legislation division. I was responsible for implementing numerous tax preferences aimed at entrepreneurs in the manufacturing and new technology industries, such as the Estonian CIT, VAT groups, the Investment Agreement, the Polish Holding Company, and allowances for prototyping, robotization, and expansion. I also played a key role in supporting investment through venture capital funds. Additionally, I created the legal framework for new e-services within the administration, including Your e-PIT, the e-Tax Office, e-Paragons, and the National e-Invoice System.

I managed the implementation of the EU VAT e-commerce package into Polish law and introduced successive simplifications in VAT (SLIM VAT). I also led efforts to modify double taxation agreements with Malta and the Netherlands and worked on defining the taxation rules for family foundations. As Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Finance for International Cooperation on VAT, I was responsible for fostering technological cooperation with the tax administrations of developing countries. As a result of these efforts, Poland signed its first agreements on the automatic exchange of VAT-related information.

From 2022 to 2023, I served as a member of the board of directors and chief financial officer at Korporacja Ubezpieczeń Kredytów Eksportowych SA, an insurance company specializing in securing and financing domestic and international trade. During this time, I was also a member of the Subcommittee on Taxation of Insurance Activities and the originator and chairman of the Education Team of the Polish Insurance Association.

Currently, I work with the Department of Taxes at the Warsaw School of Economics. I have authored and co-authored more than 50 publications in the fields of law and economics.
